Environments
I made these voxel art backgrounds in MagicaVoxel. I wanted to show examples of how I can take a minimalistic scene and add complexity and interest using lighting and rendering effects.
These environments were all created in Roblox using their engine. The first area was designed as a playground for a run-and-gun driving game and the other two for a boss-rush arcade style game. They are all optimized for multiplayer gameplay.
I created these environments in Minecraft 1.15 using a shader mod to get more detailed lighting and shading. I took inspiration for the watermill from a real Japanese restaurant. I was strongly influenced by old Japanese architecture for these builds and wanted them to be reminiscent of Spirited Away. The Will-O-Wisps and characters are my original designs to fit this build.
Low-Poly Models
Ice Mammoth
This is a low poly enemy mammoth made for the game Legend of You. One of the challenges I faced modeling for this project was the polygon limit. Each piece needed to be under a 5000 poly limit to import into the engine. My solution was to break up the limbs into different pieces and import them separately. I then reassembled them in the game's engine and rigged and animated them there.
I had to be sure of where each piece would be and how it would move when building it in Blender. Adding spikes and horns changed the size of the mesh, so I had to adjust for that when rigging the model.

Weapons
These are some special weapon skins I made for the game Kaiju Squad and Legend of You.
I was tested to come up with a vehicle for the enemies to use. A flying ship was one of those designs. I created a ball joint for the sails that can be rotated down, lowering the sails into a flying position. When they are not in use, they fold up and look no different than an ordinary sail. A major challenge with this was making the sails look natural in either state. It was also difficult to stay in the polygon limit with so many complex parts.
